Job summary

Biffa Group is seeking a Traffic Dispatcher / Transport Administrator to organise depot operations, allocate vehicles, and ensure service excellence. You will manage driver availability, monitor regulatory compliance, and support payroll and tachograph processes in a fast-paced environment.

Core duties include route optimisation, vehicle utilisation, and data-driven improvements while maintaining health and safety standards and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the local area is essential.
  • Transport manager CPC would be an advantage, or willingness to work toward.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
  • Solutions-driven mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused, engaging and able to support a diverse customer base.
  • Proficiency with business software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience in administration, call handling, or time-critical environments is a plus.

Traffic Dispatcher / Transport Administrator

Full Time Contract

Start Time: 08.00

Monday to Friday 40 hours a week hours

The Traffic Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day organisation of operations in the depot through the allocation and basic routing of vehicles. You will ensure best in class service delivery to customers, ensuring health & safety standards are maintained, and ensuring environmental and O licence compliance.

Your Core Responsibilities
