Pyramid8 are supporting an Electrical Equipment Recycling specialist to recruit a Transport Administrator to join their team. This is a brand new role due to growth in the business and the role of the administrator will be varied and will have the opportunity to grow and develop.

We are looking for an experienced administrator, ideally you will be from a transport background. You will work as part of a small friendly team and be able to plan and prioritise your work but also be willing to support other when needed.

First point of contact for the site including:

  • Deliveries
  • answering phone, customer enquiries
  • liaising with internal and external parties
  • build and maintain strong working relationships with maintenance, material, training and any other relevant departments

Administrative tasks include:

  • updating and maintaining logistics compliance spreadsheets
  • report any issues directly to the transport manager/planner as soon as they arise
  • data inputting
  • Office organisation
  • be proficient in the company's logistics management system
  • Control of relevant documentation for logistics orders, including filing and scanning of P.O's and invoices
  • Print out daily defects
  • be a strong support to assist the transport planner/manager in any daily duties and ongoing projects

Assist/cover transport planner

  • Accurate generation of waste transfer notes and accompanying paperwork
  • Monitoring an inbox
  • Dealing with customer enquiries via telephone and email in a professional manner
  • Be able to deal with/manage drivers
  • Make sure yard is organised/vehicles prepared for the following day
  • Maintain training matrix

Requirements

  • Transport/administration background desirable
  • Good IT and Microsoft Office skills
  • Able to meet tight deadlines
  • Great organisational skills
  • Ability to work well within a small team
