Job summary

DFDS UK & Ireland is seeking a Transport/Admin Coordinator to join a busy logistics team. You will plan domestic transport across the Island of Ireland and the UK, ensuring loads are scheduled efficiently and delivered on time.

This role requires working rotating shifts (06:00-14:00 and 10:00-18:00) and coordinating routes, documentation and communications with drivers and customers. The ideal candidate is experienced in transport planning, highly organised, and capable of maintaining accurate

• You’ll have previous experience in a transport planning role across Ireland and the UK.
• You’ll be organised, detail focused, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan domestic trailer and bulk transport across Ireland and the UK.
• Create and manage delivery documentation for road and bulk haulage.
• Coordinate routes for efficient and cost-effective transport planning.
• Communicate with drivers, customers and internal teams to support operations.
• Update systems and maintain accurate transport records.
• Support the resolution of operational issues and schedule changes.
• Contribute to a smooth, well-organised daily transport plan.

About the role

Working Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern, you’ll support the planning and coordination of domestic transport operations across the Island of Ireland and UK, ensuring loads are scheduled efficiently and delivered on time.

Please note - you must be able to work both shifts 06:00-14:00 and 10:00-18:00

• Planning domestic trailer and bulk transport across Ireland and the UK
• Creating and managing delivery documentation for road and bulk haulage
• Coordinating routes to ensure efficient and cost-effective transport planning
• Communicating with drivers, customers, and internal teams to support operations
• Updating systems and maintaining accurate transport records
• Supporting the resolution of operational issues and schedule changes
• Contributing to a smooth, well-organised daily transport plan

About you

You’ll have previous experience in a transport planning role across Ireland and the UK, with a solid understanding of route planning and delivery documentation. You’ll be organised, detail focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude are essential, along with the ability to multitask and keep operations running smoothly.
