Job summary
SP Electricity North West is seeking a Transmission Jointers Mate in Kendal to join our Transmission team. You will start in a multiskilled craft role, supporting fault repairs on the 33kV/132kV underground network and progressing toward becoming a Transmission Jointer over up to three years of training.
We value a customer-focused approach, HAUC experience, NRSWA accreditation, and a valid UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- Electrical City & Guilds level 2 is required.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers.
- Full UK driving licence essential (B+E desirable).
- Experience and understanding of utility records.
- NRSWA accreditation is required.
- Experience excavating, backfilling and reinstatement to HAUC specs.
- Experience operating mechanical plant for excavation and reinstatement.
- Previous experience in cable laying.
Responsibilities
- Fault repairs on transmission network (33kV/132kV).
- Install and terminate cables on primary and grid substations.
- Carry out the multiskilled craft role and progress to Transmission Jointer over time.
- Complete required paperwork for work-based activities.
