Newcastle University is seeking a skilled MR physicist to design and deliver high-quality clinical research in MRI and spectroscopy within the Centre for In Vivo Imaging (CIVI). You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and work on 3.0T Philips scanners, contributing to translational research in brain and body imaging.

The role is fixed-term until 30 June 2029. PhD holders or recent postdocs are encouraged to apply; informal inquiries can be directed to the listed contact.

Qualifications

• PhD in magnetic resonance imaging and/or spectroscopy, preferably on in-vivo clinical or pre-clinical work.
• Experience delivering research projects using MRI/MRS.
• Experience developing and validating acquisition methods in MRI/MRS.
• Experience developing analysis techniques for MRI/MRS data.

Responsabilités

• Develop and carry out high-quality MRI/MRS research within CIVI.
• Determine appropriate methodologies with independence and supervision as needed.
• Review literature and assess proposals to determine scientific validity and resources.
• Write up and publish research in peer-reviewed journals.
