Job description

The States of Guernsey are seeking a Transfusion Practitioner and Biomedical Scientist in Haematology/Transfusion to join the team at Clinical Support Services.

Role Overview

The Transfusion Practitioner will lead the promotion of safe transfusion practices across HSC and collaborate as part of the Transfusion and Haematology laboratory team. This role involves liaising with various staff groups in an investigative, advisory, and training capacity. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Blood Transfusion Committee, contributing to setting and auditing standards.

Responsibilities

1. Lead on safe transfusion practices across HSC.
2. Collaborate with laboratory teams and other staff groups.
3. Participate in the Blood Transfusion Committee to develop and audit standards.
4. Practise as a Biomedical Scientist in Haematology and Transfusion, including on-call duties.
