Job description

VANRATH are recruiting a Transformation Project Manager for a large Utility organisation in Belfast. Reporting into the Head of Transformation, this is an urgent start (within 2 weeks) for an initial duration of 6 months, with opportunities for extension. The post holder will support the Head of Transformation in various projects related to derogations, SLAs, and regulatory changes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join an organisation undergoing a significant range of projects.

Hybrid working arrangements (3 days in the office and 2 days remote), complimentary lunch, car parking, and electric charging points on site.

Responsibilities
  1. Support and implement best practice programme management and governance across various projects.
  2. Maintain appropriate governance and risk management activities in line with policies and practices.
  3. Plan and design projects collaboratively with colleagues, business leads, and subject matter experts; monitor progress and proactively address issues.
  4. Assist in managing project and programme budgets and benefits realization.
  5. Contribute to the delivery of initiatives through analysis, process design, and implementation activities.
  6. Use analytical skills to uphold project standards and momentum.
  7. Provide regular project updates and ensure positive stakeholder engagement and change management.
  8. Collaborate with the team to improve project delivery methodologies and tools.
Candidate Requirements
  1. A degree or equivalent qualification with at least two years' relevant experience, or at least four years' relevant experience in business analysis, project management, or project delivery.
  2. Proven problem-solving abilities.
  3. Effective communication skills, with high-quality reporting experience.
  4. Experience with MS applications such as SharePoint and Teams.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.
  6. Highly organized with the ability to coordinate activities of others.
  7. Project management qualification such as PRINCE2, Agile certification, or similar.
  8. Experience working within energy/utility or similar regulated environments.
  9. Experience using project management tools like MS Project, DevOps, or Trello.
