Job summary

Connect2Luton is recruiting a Project Manager on behalf of Luton Borough Council to deliver transformation programmes and realise savings. The role focuses on ensuring programmes meet scope, budget and timetable while mitigating risk and engaging stakeholders across the Council and partners.

You will develop detailed project plans, manage documentation, and produce progress reports for senior committees, with support to staff training and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• In depth experience of successfully managing complex projects.
• Proven experience in risk, change and stakeholder engagement and management.
• Ability to develop clear project plans, business cases and project documentation.
• Local Authority experience is essential.
• Prince2 Project Management Qualification or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, establish, plan, co-ordinate and manage multiple projects to time, budget and quality.
• Lead and manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of transformations projects.
• Develop and implement a detailed project plan and produce all relevant documentation.
• Engage and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and partners.
• Produce and present project and programme reports for senior governance bodies.
• Support and develop training for staff involved in transformation projects.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and supervision to team members.
