Job summary

Bright Ascension is seeking a proactive Transformation Project Leader to drive strategic initiatives across the organisation from Edinburgh. The role is a 6-month, full-time contract with hybrid working to connect with leaders in multiple departments.

You will lead planning, governance, and delivery of complex transformation programmes, translating goals into structured projects, roadmaps, and measurable benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex transformation, change, or business improvement projects.
• Strong project management experience in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior leaders.
• Experience managing project budgets, risks, and governance processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
• Project Management certification (Prince2, AgilePM, PMP, MSP or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of transformation initiatives aligned to strategic objectives.
• Translate strategic goals into structured projects with clear deliverables and outcomes.
• Develop transformation roadmaps and implementation plans.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvement and process optimisation.
• Establish and maintain robust project governance frameworks.
• Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, resources, and success measures.
• Monitor performance against milestones, budgets and benefits.
• Manage dependencies and coordinate cross-functional activities.
• Ensure on-time delivery within scope and budget.
• Build relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops, steering groups and governance meetings.
• Report to executive sponsors and leadership teams.
• Support organisational change initiatives and adoption.
• Define KPIs and measure business benefits and ROI.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned.
