Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset (UHD) is seeking an Improvement Manager to work with Care Groups and Corporate teams, delivering specialist advice, training and support to enable efficient and economical service delivery while meeting financial targets. The post involves deputising for the Head of PMO and facilitating productivity initiatives.

The role requires identification of opportunities using benchmarking data and financial review, with implementation across local and national programmes.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
• Post graduate diploma or equivalent experience, or training, plus further specialist project management knowledge, or masters level equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver large scale transformation and service redesign to defined outcomes, budgets and timescales.
• Coordinate across Care Groups and Corporate teams to identify productivity opportunities.
• Analyse complex financial and activity data to identify opportunities for operational change.
• Support development, implementation and recording of productivity and efficiency programmes (e.g., GIRFT and Model Hospital).
