As a member of our Private Equity tax team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of private equity-backed businesses, supporting them from investment to exit.

We support flexible working arrangements, including reduced hours and job shares, to help you balance work and life.

A look into the role

As an Associate Director within our Private Equity tax team, you will:

  1. Advise a broad range of clients on various tax issues, including compliance and advisory projects.
  2. Support Directors and Partners by managing and developing a team of knowledgeable tax specialists servicing portfolio companies throughout the private equity investment lifecycle.
  3. Participate actively in client meetings, providing clear and confident responses to queries.
  4. Build trust and respect by delivering high-quality tax advice accurately, meeting expectations and deadlines.
  5. Develop junior team members, understanding their career aspirations and supporting their growth.
  6. Provide innovative solutions to client tax issues, proactively preparing for exits and cross-selling services within the GT network.
  7. Lead on pitches and proposals, actively growing the business by showcasing our capabilities to clients and prospects.

The minimum requirements for this role include a professional qualification (CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience and confidence managing a portfolio of private equity-backed businesses.

Preferred skills include experience with PE-backed businesses, transaction experience (due diligence or tax structuring), supervision in a tax environment, managing large client portfolios, business development skills, and a desire to deepen knowledge of our services.
