Job summary

Club L London is seeking a hands-on Transactional Finance Lead to oversee daily finance operations across AP, AR, banking and expenses. You will lead a small team and ensure processes run smoothly while partnering with the wider finance function to enhance reporting and efficiency.

In addition to strong leadership and meticulous attention to detail, you will drive improvements, manage ledgers and reconciliations, and support month-end close in a fast-growing fashion business.

The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Transactional Finance Lead to oversee our day-to-day finance operations across AP, AR, banking and expenses. You'll lead a small team, ensure processes run smoothly and accurately, and work closely with the wider finance team to support reporting, improve efficiencies and keep up with the demands of a fast-growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day transactional finance function across AP, AR, banking and expenses.
• Manage and develop a team of two, ensuring workloads, deadlines and performance are effectively managed.
• Own supplier and customer ledgers, ensuring accurate processing, reconciliations and timely resolution of queries.
• Oversee supplier payments, employee expenses, credit cards and bank reconciliations.
• Manage purchase order processes, ensuring compliance with approval controls and accurate coding.
• Oversee credit control, customer invoicing and cash allocation.
• Support month-end close, including ledger reconciliations, accruals and balance sheet reporting.
• Maintain accounting system administration and appropriate financial controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation and efficiencies across the function.
• Work closely with Management Accountants to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
