As a Product Manager in J.P. Morgan Payments, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. You will act as the voice of the customer and develop profitable products that provide customer value. Your role involves guiding product launches, gathering feedback, and ensuring top-tier client experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and stable products that exceed customer expectations.

The Transactional Credit Management (TCM) team is a newly formed global team supporting the Payments organization with a follow-the-sun model. The team manages the 1LOD Payments frameworks and policies defining business risk appetites across products and verticals, covering both Credit-managed and non-Credit-managed clients. It acts as an internal risk clearing house within Payments, partnering with First and Second Line of Defense teams to ensure coordinated processes that benefit the firm and enhance client experiences. The team is a Subject Matter Expert across payment verticals including Liquidity & Account Solutions, Clearing, Foreign Exchange, Receivables, Public Sector, and Commercial Card, reporting to the Head of Transactional Credit Management within the L&AS organization.

Job responsibilities

  1. Develop a product strategy and vision that delivers value to customers.
  2. Conduct discovery efforts and market research to identify customer solutions and incorporate them into the product roadmap.
  3. Manage and develop a product backlog aligned with strategic goals and value propositions.
  4. Establish success metrics such as cost, features, risk, and reliability, and track performance against them.
  5. Partner with Credit Risk and other teams to plan and execute roadmaps for onboarding and offboarding non-Credit-managed clients.
  6. Implement governance frameworks to monitor global client populations and refine processes.
  7. Coordinate with risk management and payments partners on transaction decisioning rules and processes.
  8. Develop governance, monitoring, and reporting processes with Exposure Management.
  9. Collaborate with Product Development and Technology on technical requirements for funds control platforms.
  10. Communicate changes and team remit to stakeholders including Sales, Client Service, and Operations.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Expertise in product management, credit risk, or related fields.
  • Deep understanding of product development, design, and data analytics.
  • Proven experience managing the full product lifecycle.
  • Technical skills in systems handling, data analysis, and analytics.
  • Subject matter expertise across payment verticals.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with global stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Payments-related credit risk or transactional credit risk management experience.
