Job summary

Barnsley Council is recruiting for a Resource Development Officer to join our busy Customer Experience Team. This 37-hour-per-week role on a fixed-term 12-month contract focuses on delivering training, mentoring and day-to-day support to our Customer Service Advisors.

You’ll lead on training delivery, monitor performance and prepare regular reports to drive service improvements while working closely with supervisors to ensure consistent, high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 3 qualification or extensive equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering effective training and support in a customer service environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence positively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of effective training for the Customer Experience team.
• Provide regular mentoring and support to Customer Service Advisors.
• Create, develop and monitor performance reports to support service level agreements.
• Collaborate with Customer Service Supervisors to ensure knowledge and confidence across the team.
