Job summary

Mowgli is seeking a passionate Training & Engagement Manager to bring the Mowgli Magic to life across our restaurants. You’ll coach and develop our people, champion our mission for unreasonable hospitality, and ensure every guest experience is nourishing and fulfilling.

You’ll lead engagement initiatives, recognition and communications across the estate, and support onboarding and career development for teams nationwide.

Qualifications

• Experienced training or L&D professional with multi-site hospitality experience.
• Brilliant coach who can influence, inspire and develop managers at all levels.
• Commercially aware, highly organised and passionate about people development and guest experiences.
• Creative, energetic and inspiring in delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop General Managers and management teams, building leadership capability.
• Work in our restaurants, supporting teams during service and championing Mowgli standards and culture.
• Lead and improve onboarding, training frameworks and management development.
• Design and deliver quarterly training initiatives, identify capability gaps and create solutions.
• Support our engagement calendar, employee surveys, forums, newsletters and awards.
• Help develop career pathways and create opportunities for growth.
• Champion unreasonable hospitality with Mowgli Magic.

Job description

We’re looking for a passionate, energetic Training & Engagement Manager to bring the Mowgli Magic to life across our restaurants.

Working closely with our management teams, you’ll coach and develop our people, champion our mission for unreasonable hospitality, and ensure every guest experience is nourishing and fulfilling.

You’ll also play a key role in keeping our people proud, connected and celebrated, leading engagement initiatives, recognition and communications across the estate.

What you’ll do

1. Coach and develop General Managers and management teams, building leadership capability and confidence.
2. Work in our restaurants, supporting teams during service and championing Mowgli standards and culture.
3. Lead and continuously improve onboarding, training frameworks and management development.
4. Design and deliver quarterly training initiatives, identifying capability gaps and creating solutions that support business growth.
5. Support our engagement calendar, employee surveys, forums, newsletters and award submissions.
6. Help develop career pathways and create opportunities for our people to grow.
7. Champion unreasonable hospitality, always with a sprinkle of Mowgli Magic.

Who we’re looking for

1. An experienced training or L&D professional with multi-site hospitality experience.
2. A brilliant coach who can influence, inspire and develop managers at all levels.
3. Commercially aware, highly organised and passionate about people development and exceptional guest experiences.
4. Creative, energetic and inspiring in your delivery.
5. Comfortable working in a field-based role, with UK-wide travel and some evening and weekend work.
6. Ideally based in the North-West with easy access to our Liverpool Head Office.
7. Most importantly, someone brimming with Intelligence, Grace and Graft.
