Job summary

Capita, through Project Selborne, is modernising Royal Navy training to deliver better trained sailors to the front line faster. The role involves instructing Royal Navy students in Workshops Techniques for Phase 2 and 3 courses, delivering practical sessions in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, with classes of up to 16 students.

The position is term-time, 45 weeks per year, pro rata with built-in annual leave and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical testing, hand tools, soldering and tool handling.
• Results-oriented with the ability to support quality and delivery improvements across learning programmes.
• Team player with experience leading and collaborating across teams.
• Knowledge and understanding of business strategy and providing support to identify solutions to deliver that strategy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical workshop techniques to Royal Navy students in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Teaching up to 16 students per class.
• Working collaboratively with Learning & Development and the team of 10 Instructors.
• Supporting with driving continuous improvement and learning.
