Job description

An elite US law firm is hiring a new Training Contract Paralegal to join their stunning London offices on an initial 9-month fixed-term contract working the Afternoon and Evening shift 12pm – 8.30pm. This role is perfect for someone who has a training contract lined up in 2026/2027. Providing high-level work from day one, this is a superb opportunity for an experienced Corporate / Finance Paralegal.

• Salary up to £58,000
• Hybrid working (3 days in-office / 2 days remote)
• Working hours: 12pm to 8.30pm
• Paid overtime

The Training Contract Paralegal will play an instrumental role in all phases of corporate transactions and will be an important part of the team, working alongside partners and attorneys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding documentation required for High Yield Bond Transactions and the processes from start to finish.
• Assisting lawyers with transaction pre-closings and closings.
• Drafting due diligence memoranda, call logs, fact backup charts, and transfer circle-ups.
• Handling attorney requests from the US office via the US Library.
• Conducting document searches and factual research, including searches on computerized systems.
• Proofreading agreements and transactional documents.
• Obtaining charter documents and good standing certificates from the Secretary of State in applicable jurisdictions.
• Handling post-closing matters, including preparing bound volumes.
• Gathering precedents for new transactions.

Skills & Requirements:

• Excellent academic qualifications.
• Secured a Training Contract for 2026 or 2027.
• Substantial paralegal experience in a top law firm, preferably in Capital Markets, US Securities, and Leveraged Finance.
• Proficiency in managing complex transactions within a Corporate practice group.
