Job summary

Salford City College is seeking a trainer and assessor to join the building services engineering delivery team in Salford. The role focuses on supporting apprentices on domestic plumbing and gas programmes, from guidance and learning to site-based assessment and progress reviews with employers.

You should have a domestic plumbing and gas background, although experienced plumbers moving into education are welcome. DBS and safeguarding checks apply due to regular contact with young people.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• DBS and safeguarding checks are required.
• Not barred from regulated activities with children.
• Experience in domestic plumbing and gas is preferred.
• Assessor or teaching qualifications are advantageous.
