Job summary

Salford City College Group is seeking a trainer/assessor in plumbing and gas to join our apprenticeship delivery team in Salford. The role is permanent, 36 hours per week, based at Frontier House, Merchants Quay, with a strong focus on supporting learners through their apprenticeship journey and achieving ACS qualifications.

The ideal candidate has a domestic plumbing and gas background and is open to moving from industry into education and training; DBS checks and safeguarding responsibilities

Qualifications

• Domestic plumbing and gas background required
• Applications from experienced plumbers transitioning to education will be considered

Responsibilities

• Meet with stakeholders (virtual and in-person) to provide apprenticeship guidance
• Support apprentices to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours
• Undertake site-based assessments
• Review progress with employers and apprentices
• Support learners to achieve ACS
• Maintain accurate records
• Identify new apprenticeship opportunities
• Deliver short training courses and help the team reach targets
