Develop People. Build Confidence. Deliver Outstanding Care.
Are you an experienced care professional and trainer who is passionate about developing people and raising standards? Do you have at least 3 years' experience delivering face-to-face classroom training and at least 3 years' experience in care delivery? If you're ready to use your experience to help develop confident, competent care professionals, we'd love to hear from you.
Could this be you?
As our Care Trainer, you'll play a key role in developing our care team, from recruitment and shadowing through to successful completion of probation and ongoing professional development.
You’ll support new recruits throughout their induction, shadowing, competency assessment and probation, helping them develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to provide safe, high-quality care.
You’ll deliver and coordinate induction training, workshops, eLearning, practical competencies, refresher training and ad-hoc training based on individual and team development needs. You'll also assess practical competencies within the field, provide constructive feedback and identify opportunities for further development.
You’ll work closely with Supervisors to support observations and coaching, helping ensure these are completed within required timescales and that any training or development needs are identified and followed up.
You’ll maintain accurate training records, monitor training compliance and work with the wider team to identify and respond to ongoing learning and development needs.
As part of the role, you'll participate in the on-call rota and provide emergency care cover when required, helping ensure customers continue to receive safe and consistent care during unexpected staffing or service pressures.
We're looking for an experienced trainer who can bring real-world care experience into the classroom and field, with the confidence to adapt your approach to different people, learning styles and care environments.
Experience in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), behavioural support and complex care would be highly desirable.
If you're passionate about developing people, enjoy making learning practical and engaging, and want to make a genuine difference to the quality of care our customers receive, we'd love to hear from you.
