Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting both experienced and non-experienced Residential Youth Workers to join our casual team. The role involves working in children’s residential homes and Independent Living settings. We seek flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals eager to work in a specialist environment, where full training and qualifications are provided to suitable candidates.

Role Overview

The position involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behaviour and complex needs, aiming to create an environment catering to their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.

You will work with young people aged 11 to 18, who have been placed into care for various reasons and have a range of disorders, behaviours, and needs. Candidates should have the confidence, patience, and skills to work successfully with these young people and positively impact their lives.

Responsibilities include supporting young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping. You will also interact with professionals like social workers, probation officers, police officers, and support young people in environments such as classrooms, courts, and police stations.

A valid driving license is essential, as you will be required to drive the unit car and transport young people to destinations like family contacts, school, and social activities.

Note: You will need to complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully finish one of our induction programmes before placements are offered.

  • Stay updated on procedures and policy changes

  • Undertake additional relevant duties as required
