Job summary

Fulbridge Social Care is seeking both experienced and non-experienced Residential Youth Workers for a casual team in Leicester. The role is focused on supporting young people aged 11 to 18 with challenging behaviors in residential and independent living settings. Job description

Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting both experienced and non-experienced Residential Youth Workers to join our casual team. The role involves working in children’s residential homes and Independent Living settings. We are looking for flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals who want to work in a specialist environment where full training and qualifications are provided.

The position involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behavior and complex needs in residential or independent living settings. The goal is to create an environment that caters to the young person's intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.

You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who are in the care system for various reasons, with diverse disorders, behaviors, and needs. The role requires confidence, patience, and skills to work successfully with these young people and make a positive impact.

Responsibilities include supporting young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping. You will also interact with professionals like Social Workers, Probation Officers, and Police Officers and support young people in environments such as classrooms, courts, and police stations.

A driving license is essential as you will need to drive the unit car and transport young people to destinations like family contacts, school, and social activities.

Applicants must complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully complete an induction program before placements are offered.

  11. Keep up to date with procedures and policy changes.

  13. Undertake additional duties relevant to the role.
