Job summary

Pacifica is looking for a Trainee Domestic Appliance Field Service Engineer to join our team in Northampton. You will receive full training at our training centre and be paired with a dedicated mentor to become fully qualified in white goods repair.

No prior experience is required, but hands-on mechanical or electrical skills help. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a company van and tools provided, plus ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical or electrical experience and able to use hand tools.
• Full UK manual driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points).
• Enthusiasm and can-do attitude; able to work alone in customers' homes.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain household appliances in customers' homes.
• Diagnose issues and carry out repairs safely and efficiently.
• Record and manage job details using our engineer software.
• Follow mentor guidance while building skills and confidence.

What You Will Do

• Learning to repair and maintain household appliances including washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and electric cookers
• Visiting customers' homes to diagnose issues and carry out repairs safely and efficiently
• Building on your mechanical/electrical experience to troubleshoot and solve problems on-site
• Recording and managing job details using our in-house engineer software
• Following guidance from your mentor while building your skills and confidence
• Providing excellent customer service, explaining repairs clearly and professionally
• Continuously developing your technical skills through structured training and on-the-job experience
