Job summary

Woodside Logistics Group in Ballynure, Northern Ireland, is offering a Trainee Transport Planner role within our busy Haulage operations team. You will receive structured, hands-on training across transport planning, fleet operations and customer service.

You'll work closely with Transport Planners, drivers and internal teams to gain operational experience and develop the skills needed to progress to a Transport Planner.

Responsibilities

• Support the Transport Planning team with the day-to-day coordination of transport operations.
• Assist with planning vehicle movements, routes, deliveries and collections to meet customer requirements.
• Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, collections, deliveries and operational updates.
• Accurately input, maintain and update information within the Transport Management System (TMS).
• Assist with customer enquiries and provide timely updates on deliveries and collections.
• Monitor operational systems, emails and reports, escalating issues where appropriate.
• Help maintain accurate transport documentation and operational records in line with company procedures.
• Work collaboratively with Transport Planners, drivers and other departments to support the efficient running of the operation.
• Participate fully in the training programme, developing the knowledge and skills required to become a qualified Transport Planner.
