Job summary

Telent Technology Services Ltd is seeking a Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer to join the Newcastle and surrounding area team. You will work under an experienced Traffic Engineer to troubleshoot, fix, maintain and test a range of Traffic Signals and associated electrical equipment.

On-the-job training will help you progress toward NVQ in Electrical Installations and NHSS Chapter 8, with opportunities to grow within Telent.

Qualifications

• Motivation and willingness to learn on the job and via online learning.
• Experience of electrical testing, maintenance, fixing or installing.
• Ability to problem solve and follow fault finding instructions.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willing to undertake a Drugs & Alcohol test for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, fix, maintain and test Traffic Signals / Traffic Lights and related electrical equipment in Newcastle and surrounding areas.
• Work with a senior Traffic Engineer to learn on the job.
• Contribute to on-site installations and testing activities.
