Job summary

Network Plus is seeking a Trainee Traffic Management Operative to work on Traffic Management Schemes in Exeter and gain hands-on experience. You will work with qualified operatives to ensure projects run smoothly and safely, with training provided to upskill you through various modules.

The role suits someone who enjoys outdoor physical work. There is potential to progress into Operational management roles, with good pay and overtime.

Qualifications

• Role involves working outside in a physical role.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided to upskill within modules.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in all methods of traffic management including Give and Take, Stop/Go boards, and lane/diversion work.
• Understand safe working methods and best practice procedures.
• Learn to carry out risk assessments and method statements for traffic management works.
• Ensure activities follow laid-down procedures and report improvement needs to line manager.
• Assist with daily vehicle checks to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Promote a positive company image through site presentation and attire.
• Direct the public through safe site lines when required.
