Job summary

Qualifications

• Training provided in Lantra 12d and Lantra 12a/b.
• Chapter 8 safety at Street Works and Road Works.
• Ability to read CAD drawings.
• UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in all methods of traffic management; Give and take, Priority, Stop/Go boards, Portable traffic signals, Convoy working, Road closures, Lane closures and diversions.
• Understand safe working methods and best practice procedures.
• Learn how to carry out risk assessments and method statements on works involving traffic management.
• Ensure that all activities associated with the job are carried out according to laid down procedures where possible.
• Identify areas that can be improved and report to your line manager.
• Assist with daily vehicle checks to ensure cleanliness and safety of the driver and vehicle.
• Promote a positive company image whilst at work.
• Be happy to assist the public, directing them through safe site lines when required.
