Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer Oxfordshire, United Kingdom (On-site)

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working closely with technical experts who are proud of their impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure, connected and protected 24/7.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer will collaborate with Traffic Signals specialists in Oxfordshire. Due to growth, we are expanding our Traffic team in this region.

What you’ll do:

Work alongside experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, fix, maintain, and test Traffic Signals, Traffic Lights, and related electrical equipment in Oxfordshire.

Training involves on-the-job learning, aiming for an NVQ in Electrical Installations and certifications like ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Who you are:

Interested in troubleshooting, fixing, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment, with some exposure to outdoor lighting, CCTV, controllers, detection boxes, telecommunications, or related coursework or diplomas.

Key Requirements:

• Motivated and eager to learn through on-the-job and online training
• Experience in electrical testing, maintenance, or installation, or relevant coursework/diploma
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
• Full UK Driving Licence and residence in Oxfordshire
• Willing to undertake Drugs & Alcohol testing for compliance
