Reporting into the Contract Manager, the Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer will join a talented team of Traffic Signals specialists in the Oxfordshire region. Due to growth and demand from our customer(s), we are in a position to grow our Traffic team in this region.
What you’ll do:
As a Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with an experienced Traffic Engineer to troubleshoot, fix, maintain, and test a range of Traffic Signals / Traffic Lights and electrical equipment in and around Oxfordshire.
Training isn’t in a classroom; it is a healthy mix of ‘on the job’ learning, providing you with an opportunity to work towards an NVQ in Electrical Installations and Sector-based certifications such as ECS and the National Highways Sector Scheme (NHSS) Chapter 8.
Who you are:
You will naturally have an interest in troubleshooting, fixing, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment, and already have some exposure to anything electrical – whether working with outdoor lighting, CCTV, controllers, detection boxes, telecommunications / radio equipment, etc., or through a College course / Diploma.
