A leading company in the engineering/construction testing industry is seeking a Trainee Technician in Ellesmere Port. This entry-level role involves on-site project support and technical assistance, offering opportunities for training and development. No prior experience is required, and candidates must possess a valid UK driving licence and a basic understanding of engineering principles.
Trainee Technician who is keen to learn new skills within the engineering / construction testing industry is required to join the company’s Project Team and provide technical and physical support at project sites nationwide.
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Trainee / Entry Level Role – All Levels of Experience Considered
Ideal candidates will have some sort of college-based qualification or an understanding of electrical / mechanical / structural engineering. However, this is desirable, and you must be willing to learn new skills and have great time-management. You will also need to be computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office / 365 (MS Word, Excel and Outlook) and willing to work away from home when required
SALARY: Starting on National Minimum Wage + Competitive Overtime Rates + Benefits
LOCATION: This role will involve site-based work (travelling nationwide) with a small percentage of work carried out in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, North West England (CH66)
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Minimum 37.5 Hours per week - 6 Month Minimum Probation Period Required
BENEFITS: Holiday Package (33 Days, Inc Bank Holidays) and Pension available
KEY REQUIREMENTS: Candidates MUST have a full and valid UK Driving Licence (6 points or less - no active convictions)
JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Trainee Technician who is keen to learn new skills within the engineering / construction testing industry.
Working as the Trainee Technician you will be highly motivated and committed individual to provide technical and physical support to a small growing project team within the business. The role, which will predominantly be site based, is undertaking projects such as; structural load testing to British Standard or bespoke requirements, environmental monitoring and potentially bespoke structural monitoring installations and maintenance, nationwide. You will be joining a small dynamic and multi-disciplinary team.
As the Trainee Technician your roll will include a dynamic mixture of mainly daily on-site work (travelling nationwide), and also a small percentage of work at the company’s testing facilities in Ellesmere Port. You will be working closely with a more experienced staff member whilst basic training is undertaken and shall provide assistance to undertake any works delegated.
