Job summary

AWD Online Ltd. is seeking a motivated individual for a Trainee Technician role, offering a hands-on start in the engineering and construction testing sector with full training. No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and strong time-management are essential.

The position involves site travel nationwide and occasional work in the Ellesmere Port laboratory. You will grow through on-the-job training within a small team delivering testing projects and reporting results.

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications or college-based understanding of engineering desirable but not required.
• Must be willing to learn new skills and manage time effectively.
• Full UK driving licence with limited points (6 or fewer) and no active convictions.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and work away from home when required.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering and construction testing projects on-site and in the lab.
• Record, validate and report test data and results.
• Assist with calibration, maintenance and upkeep of testing equipment.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and company procedures.
