Ready to begin a meaningful role supporting children in the classroom? This fully funded opportunity helps adults step confidently into Teaching Assistant positions across Kent and Medway, providing the practical skills and knowledge schools are looking for.

You’ll receive targeted training that prepares you for real classroom environments, including the role and responsibilities of the TA, safeguarding, SEND needs and support strategies, along with mental health awareness and the communication skills needed to help children thrive.

This opportunity is delivered as part of the government’s Skills Bootcamps, offering flexible training for adults aged 19+ living in Kent or Medway who want a new career direction. No previous experience is required, just motivation and a passion for supporting children.

What You Will Gain

• Practical preparation for primary, secondary and SEND settings.
• A recognised NCFE CACHE unit Level 3 Understand How to Support Learning of Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
• Training in the role of the TA, safeguarding, positive behaviour, inclusive practice, support/strategies for children with SEND, emotional, behavioural and social development needs, along with mental health awareness.

You’ll develop the confidence to assist teachers, support diverse learning needs and create a positive, inclusive classroom. On completion, you’ll receive dedicated support into Teaching Assistant, Learning Support or SEND role.
