Job summary

Teach South Kent is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs in Tonbridge and Bexhill. This full-time role starts September 2025, with a daily rate of £105 paid weekly via PAYE.

You will work closely with teachers and the school team to provide consistent support throughout the day, helping to foster engagement, confidence and independence among students. The role offers ongoing consultant support and potential career development in SEN.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Patience, kindness and a commitment to helping young people succeed.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Reliability, adaptability and proactivity are valued traits.
  • Experience with young people or in education is desirable but not required.
  • A degree or relevant qualification is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Care Worker, Youth Worker, Nursery Practitioner or in education/psychology/therapy fields is relevant.

Job Overview

The Secondary School Teaching Assistant position with Teach South in Tonbridge and Bexhill, East Sussex, is a full-time role starting September 2025. The daily salary is £105, paid weekly via PAYE. This position supports children and young people with a wide range of additional learning needs.

Your Role

As a Teaching Assistant you will work closely with teachers and the wider school team to provide consistent support throughout the school day.
