Trainee Teacher of Geography

Permanent, Full-time, Full year

We seek a well-qualified, enthusiastic, and dedicated graduate to join a dynamic, friendly, and highly successful Geography department as a trainee teacher. This permanent, full-time salaried position provides hands-on classroom experience with mentorship from our experienced department and support from our Initial Teacher Training tutors.

Your daily teaching at Whitgift will be complemented by:

  • If you have not completed a PGCE: a funded PGCE+QTS programme at the University of Buckingham, including weekly lectures, residential training, and a three-week school placement, followed by in-house ECT1 and ECT2 programs.
  • If you have completed a PGCE and are an ECT1 teacher: completion of the in-house ECT1 and ECT2 programs.
