Trainee Teacher of Computer Science

We seek a well-qualified, enthusiastic, and dedicated graduate to join a dynamic, friendly, and highly successful Computer Science department as a trainee teacher. This permanent, full-time salaried role provides hands-on classroom experience with support through mentorship and collaboration with our experienced department and Initial Teacher Training tutors.

Your daily teaching experience will be supplemented by either:

  • For those not yet completed a PGCE: a funded PGCE+QTS programme at the University of Buckingham, including weekly lectures, residential training, and a three-week school placement. In years two and three, completion of the bespoke in-house 'Inspiring Teaching Practices' (ECT1) and 'Leading Learning In Communities' (ECT2) programs.
  • For those who have completed a PGCE and are ECT1 teachers: completion of the in-house 'Inspiring Teaching Practices' (ECT1) and 'Leading Learning In Communities' (ECT2) programs.
