We are currently looking to train a new cohort of Swimming Teachers to expand our programs and ensure accessibility for everyone. We are looking for candidates interested in starting a Swimming Teacher career and obtaining their qualification through our upcoming course, which runs from Saturday 19th to Tuesday 22nd, between 9am & 5pm. Attendance at all four days is required.
Available positions at Leys, Ferry, Barton, and Hinksey leisure centres.
We follow the Swim England learn to swim framework, fostering confidence in swimmers through fun and progressive lessons. Many of our swimmers have advanced to competitive swimming and even representing their country.
As a swimming teacher, you will deliver safe, enjoyable, and progressive lessons. We also prioritize your career development and personal growth. You can choose your working hours around your commitments, with flexible contracts.
We cover the costs for safeguarding and DBS checks, and you are covered by our insurance—no need to arrange your own. Working with us offers excellent personal and professional development opportunities through ongoing training. All teachers receive a free membership to our facilities, plus a membership for a friend or family member.

Effective communication and customer service skills are essential, as you will interact extensively with customers of all ages and backgrounds. A passion for swimming and the ability to deliver motivating, safe, and fun lessons are vital. You should be willing to work evenings and weekends and complete a lifesaving qualification (NRASTC or NPLQ). A DBS check is required for this role.
Swimming promotes health and happiness and teaches vital life skills. As a teacher, you will play a key role in community development. There are opportunities to advance into aquatics coordination or center management roles across our 55 facilities.
