Job Description:

Purpose: Deichmann Shoes has an exciting opportunity to join our growing business as a Trainee Store Manager, supporting our store in Slough and surrounding areas including Cowley, Reading, Woking, Newbury, and Camberley. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £29,500 per annum.

As a Trainee Store Manager, you will undergo initial training and then support multiple stores within a geographical area, with the potential for promotion to Store Manager upon successful completion of training. The role requires flexibility and the ability to travel between stores.

Key activities include:

  • Motivating and coaching the team to deliver excellent customer service
  • Leading by example in promoting and upselling products
  • Drafting rotas aligned with payroll budgets
  • Managing stock
  • Analyzing sales figures and reports
  • Ensuring company standards in merchandising and administration are maintained
  • Working towards targets and KPIs
  • Assisting with recruitment and team development

Personal characteristics:

  • Hands-on leadership experience in retail or similar industry
  • Positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
