Job summary

Pasquill, part of Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, is seeking a Trainee Stock Controller in Chorley. You’ll learn how materials move through a busy manufacturing site, keep stock records accurate and ensure production teams have what they need to operate smoothly.

This on-site role is hands-on, offering exposure to Production, Logistics, Purchasing and Planning, and a clear path to develop stock-management and broader operational skills.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work (essential).
• Confidence using computer systems and spreadsheets.
• Good communication skills and ability to build relationships across the site.
• Curious mindset with the confidence to ask questions and investigate issues.
• Positive attitude and willingness to develop skills and take on responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate stock records and update stock movements in our systems.
• Support stock checks and cycle counts across the site.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and identify root causes of issues.
• Collaborate with Production, Logistics, Purchasing and Planning teams on material availability.
• Develop knowledge to become a reliable cover for the Stock Controller role.
