Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is seeking a Trainee Special Needs Support Assistant to join partner schools in Harrogate. The role involves working with SEND learners in specialist settings, supporting learning, personal care and pastoral needs.

The hours are 8:30am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with 3–5 days per week availability. Applicants should be prepared to undergo a vetting process, an interview to discuss motivation for working in schools and must hold or be prepared to obtain an Enhanced DBS

Qualifications

• Availability: 3-5 days per week (Mon-Fri) 8:30am–4:00pm
• Vetting: provide full CV history back to compulsory education
• Interview: reasons for working in schools and transferable skills
• DBS: hold or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS, registered to Update Service

Responsibilities

• Support SEND learners in Harrogate partner schools.
• Work within Special School environments to assist with learning, personal and pastoral needs.
• Be proactive, supportive and adaptable in a busy school setting.
