Job summary

FQPS Academy Ltd. is seeking a Trainee Contract position to provide litigation support to advocates in Criminal Courts and Prison Law. You will assist in preparing criminal matters, draft witness statements, instruct expert witnesses, and interact with clients, CPS and the court.

The role requires completion of the LPC or equivalent, reliability, and strong communication, with duties including attending crown court and developing in-house knowledge through training and experience.

Qualifications

• Completed LPC or equivalent.
• Reliable and punctual with high accuracy.
• Clear spoken and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of criminal matters including applying for legal aid.
• Draft witness statements and see witnesses.
• Instruct expert witnesses and liaise with in-house counsel or Barristers.
• Maintain diary, diarise key dates and record time.
• Attend crown court to support counsel and prepare related documents.
