Working as a Healthcare Support Worker on the adult inpatient wards, you will be involved with direct patient care while maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients. You will work alongside a registered Nurse to provide essential nursing care for adult patients, helping them with daily living tasks, including hygiene, continence, nutrition, mobility needs, and emotional support.

This role is a developmental position, and you will initially be employed as a Band 2 Health Care Support Worker, receiving in-house training to gain the skills necessary for progression to a Senior HCSW role (Band 3).

This is a physically and emotionally demanding role that requires you to adapt quickly to the constantly changing clinical demands on an acute inpatient ward. You will be required to work long shifts (12 hours) that include days, nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
