Job summary

Connex Education Partnership in Stroud is urgently recruiting Trainee Cover Teachers to work in secondary schools across Stroud and the surrounding area. No teaching experience required; training provided; you’ll gain hands-on classroom experience.

You’ll deliver lessons, supervise pupils, and help maintain a positive learning environment while you explore whether teaching is right for you. Flexible options: part-time and full-time, starting November 2026, with weekly PAYE pay.

Qualifications

• Recent graduates or those with related experience encouraged to apply.
• No previous teaching experience required for the right candidate.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain.
• Available to work at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Delivering lessons prepared by teaching staff.
• Supervising and supporting students throughout the day.
• Encouraging engagement and completion of work.
• Maintaining calm, positive classroom management.
• Building relationships with students and staff.
• Following safeguarding procedures.
