DNA Payments Group is recruiting for a Trainee Sales Representative to join the DNA Sales Academy and drive new business in SME markets within a UK postcode area. The role combines structured training, coaching and live field activity with progression to Business Development Consultant after six months.

Graduates will be promoted through a clear progression ladder, with a six-month academy and achievement-based advancement to higher roles.

Responsibilities

• Visit SME businesses within assigned postcode area to generate new business.
• B2B cold calling and field activity while building territory.
• Identify merchant needs and promote DNA Payments, EPOS and Zash solutions.
• Manage and develop your CRM and pipeline to achieve conversions.
• Complete customer applications and support customers through to live and transacting.
• Coordinate with internal teams to deliver and set up products and ensure customer experience.

Sales Academy - DNA Payments

Reporting into: Head of Sales

Working hours: 37.5

Working location: Remote - Southampton and surrounding areas

Employment type: Full-time employed role

As a Trainee Sales Representative, you will join the DNA Sales Academy and generate new business by visiting SME businesses within an assigned postcode area. This is a field-based, entry-level sales role combining structured training, coaching and live field activity.

Previous sales experience is not required. You must be self-motivated, resilient, reliable and comfortable approaching business owners face to face. Candidates who successfully complete the six-month academy and meet the required standards will graduate and be promoted to Business Development Consultant.

Key Responsibilities:

During the academy, you will be responsible for:

• Complete all product, compliance, systems and sales training.

• Manage and develop your assigned territory on a daily basis.

• B2B cold calling (75+ door knocks daily once fully active).

• Target SME businesses with annual card turnover of £50,000 - £7.5m.

• Identify merchant needs and promote appropriate DNA Payments, EPOS and Zash solutions.

• Efficiently manage your CRM and pipeline of opportunities to achieve expected conversions.

• Work towards 1 self-generated sales a day (20 per average working month)

• Target clients with monthly £50+ net revenue to achieve monthly targets.

• Successfully complete customer applications and support customers through to live and transacting.

• Work with internal teams to process, deliver and set up products, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

• Apply coaching and feedback and demonstrate continued improvement.

• Maintain the required standards for attendance, punctuality, activity, administration and professional conduct.

• Be present on daily huddle calls both in the morning and in the evening.

Graduation and progression

Graduation at month six is based on performance, activity, product knowledge, conduct, CRM accuracy, attendance and coachability. Graduation is not automatic.

Successful graduates will be promoted to Business Development Consultant, with further progression to Business Development Manager and Senior Business Development Manager available based on performance.

Basic Salary: Starting on £25,000 (£5,000 uplift after passing probation)

Car Allowance: £5000 P/A plus mileage paid at HMRC statutory advisory rates

Incentive: Generous, uncapped scheme based on a revenue share model. Realistic first year OTE of £50,000.
