Job summary

CMD Recruitment is seeking a Trainee Sales Manager in Westbury, Wiltshire. This permanent role offers an 18-month structured development programme designed to prepare you for a long-term career in sales, starting in internal sales and progressing to a manager position.

You will develop product and process knowledge, manage client relationships, identify opportunities, and support meetings and negotiations with guidance and mentoring. The role is 100% office-based.

Are you looking to build a career in sales, but want the training and support to help you get there?

We're recruiting for an established and successful business within the sustainable packaging industry, who are looking for a Trainee Sales Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or career changer to join an 18-month structured development programme, designed to prepare you for a long-term career as a Sales Manager.

The role:

Starting within the internal sales team, you'll learn the business, products and processes before gradually taking on more responsibility.

• Customer relationship management and business development
• Identifying new sales opportunities
• Preparing for and attending customer meetings
• Sales negotiations
• Market and competitor analysis
• Working with internal sales and technical teams

Following successful completion of the programme, you'll progress into a Sales Manager position, managing your own territory and customer base.
