Job summary

Toomey Motor Group in Basildon is seeking a motivated Sales Consultant with a focus on customer service to drive vehicle sales and service plans. The role requires a smart, flexible approach, a full UK driving licence, and recent sales experience in automotive or retail sectors.

Training will cover products and procedures, followed by progression and rewards including commission and company car. Mon–Fri 9am–6pm, Sat 8:30am–5:30pm, alternate Sundays, with rota-based bank holiday work; generous

We will provide a comprehensive and dedicated training programme for all selected candidates.

For successful candidates, the financial package comprises:

• Basic salary stands at £12,000 whilst training, made up to minimum wage dependant on age. Once training is completed, (around 3 – 5 months) Commission will be added to the salary.

The Sales Consultant role involves:

• Sales of vehicles, which are accompanied by substantial financial rewards
• Sales of service plans
• Maintenance and update of a diary system
• Coordination with the Service Department to fulfil customer requirements
• Periodic hosting of off-site events

As this role will also involve test drives, all candidates must hold a UK manual driving licence with NO points. For the purposes of our company insurance, full licences must have been held for at least one year. Unfortunately, we cannot consider candidates who hold only a provisional licence.

Hours:

Monday to Friday 9am to 6:00pm

Saturday 8.30am – 5.30pm

Alternate Sundays 10am to 4pm.

Bank Holidays are worked on a rota basis One weekday off per week will be agreed between you and your line manager.
