Trainee Project Planner

Location: Bristol and Glasgow

The ideal candidate will have active SC Clearance or be eligible to undergo SC Clearance.

The Experis Academy offers an exciting opportunity for delivery-oriented individuals to be trained and upskilled as Project Planners in the clean energy, defence, and civil decommissioning sectors. Join our Academy to be trained and developed while representing Experis on leading engineering projects. Our programmes aim to develop talent pools into permanent industry professionals.

We seek ambitious candidates with strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills interested in reskilling or developing in project planning. This challenging but rewarding role requires excellent customer-facing and teamwork skills.

You will support Project Planning activities within a delivery environment and collaborate with like-minded individuals to solve complex problems in nuclear and infrastructure projects.

As part of the programme, you will receive training and experience in project, programme, and portfolio management (P3M), including project management, planning, controls, Primavera, and Excel. Soft skills such as negotiation, presentation, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution will also be covered through scenario-based workshops.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and maintaining project structures
  • Developing and maintaining the integrated project schedule
  • Ensuring alignment between scheduling and financial/material demand tools
  • Providing regular schedule status updates and impact analysis
  • Creating resource/cost-loaded schedules for financial and project status reporting
