The Experis Academy offers an exciting opportunity for delivery-oriented individuals to be trained and upskilled as highly skilled Project Planners for a clean energy, defence, and civil decommissioning company. This role provides a chance to join Experis’ growing Academy division, where you will be trained and developed while representing Experis on a leading engineering account. Our programmes aim to develop talent pools who can become permanent members of our industry-leading clients.

We seek ambitious candidates with strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. If you are looking to reskill or develop your project planning skills, this could be the right opportunity. The role is challenging but rewarding, requiring excellent customer-facing and teamworking skills.

You will support Project Planning activities within a delivery environment and collaborate with like-minded professionals to solve complex problems in the nuclear and infrastructure sectors.

As part of the programme, you will receive training, tools, and experience in project, programme, and portfolio management (P3M). Training will cover project management, planning, controls, Primavera (planning/scheduling tool), and Excel, along with soft skills such as negotiation, presentation, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution. The training involves scenario-based workshops for practical application.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and maintaining project structures
  • Developing and maintaining the integrated project schedule
  • Aligning scheduling tools with financial and material demand systems
  • Providing regular status updates and metrics on the schedule's impact
  • Creating resource/cost-loaded schedules for financial and project status reporting

Minimum criteria to apply include:

  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive approach to identifying potential issues
  • Commitment to high-quality work and continuous learning
