Job summary

proAV in Egham is looking for a Trainee Production Engineer to join our production team. You will assist in assembling and wiring AV racks, gaining hands-on experience while following quality and safety standards. This learning role offers guidance from senior engineers and opportunities to build a strong foundation in AV rack production.

You will develop technical knowledge, work on documentation, and support project delivery as part of a global AV integration and support operation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with assembling and wiring racks according to specifications and guidelines.
  • Support troubleshooting activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of rack inventory.
  • Learn to prioritise tasks and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Pre-prepare cables and materials for upcoming systems.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment, following health and safety guidelines.
  • Keep a clean and organised working area.
  • Ensure racks are uniform when working as part of a team on identical systems.
  • Liaise with colleagues across departments to support project delivery.
  • Take initiative in developing your technical skills and stay open to training opportunities.

About the Role
Role Overview

proAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.

Our immediate requirement is for a Trainee Production Engineer to be a key part of our Egham team, working alongside the production team to assist in assembling and wiring AV racks.

You will develop technical knowledge and hands-on experience while ensuring all work meets company quality and safety standards. This is a learning role, where you will gain exposure to industry’s best practices and receive guidance from senior team members to build a strong foundation in AV rack production.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Production Engineer to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Hours of work

40 hours per week, 9 hours a day on a rotational shift basis between 7am-7pm, including an hour unpaid break, Monday-Friday.
