Job summary

Cohens Chemist is recruiting a 17-hour Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to join our team at the Boston Spa branch. You will work under pharmacist supervision to learn dispensing, stock management, and customer service in a busy community pharmacy.

The role provides funded training to gain Counter Course and NVQ level 2 in Dispensing, ideal for someone with customer service experience and a commitment to progression within the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and willingness to undertake training courses.
• Gaining Counter Course and NVQ level 2 in Dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Accurate dispensing and labelling of prescription items under pharmacist guidance.
• Assisting with stock ordering and management within the dispensary and shop.
• Maintaining attention to detail under pressure and pursuing progression within the business.
• Demonstrating strong people skills and delivering high standards of customer service.

11758 - 17 hour - Trainee Pharmacy Assistant - Permanent Contract

We are looking to recruit a 17-hour Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to work at our 445-branch located at 190 High Street, Boston Spa, LS23 6BT.

Proposed shift pattern

• Monday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
• Tuesday 09:00-16:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
• Saturday 09:00-12:00

Whilst working in this branch you will gain excellent knowledge and skills which will contribute to you successfully gaining the recognised Counter Course and NVQ level 2 qualification in Dispensing. This position is ideally suited to someone with previous customer service experience and who is willing to undertake the relevant training courses in order to progress.

Duties

• Accurate dispensing and labelling of prescription items with guidance and supervision from the Pharmacist.
• Assisting with the ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary and the shop.
• Ensuring the utmost attention to detail, working under pressure and to strict deadlines, and demonstrating a desire to learn and progress your career in our business.
• Displaying great people skills, working as part of a well-established team and ensuring customers receive a high standard of service.
