Job summary

Cohens Chemist is recruiting a 32-hour Qualified Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to join our branch at 119 Lee Lane, Horwich, Bolton. The role involves assisting with dispensing and labeling prescriptions, plus day-to-day dispensary stock management.

You will work as part of a friendly, well-established team, delivering efficient, knowledgeable service to customers and maintaining high standards of accuracy and care.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services is essential or equivalent.
• Strong planning, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dispensing and labeling of prescription items.
• Receive prescriptions and hand out prescription items.
• Assist with ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary.
• Work as part of a well-established team to ensure high standard of service.

We are looking to recruit a 32 hour Qualified Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to work at branch 583 located at 119 Lee Lane, Horwich, Bolton, BL6 7AR.

Shift Pattern

• Monday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break)
• Wednesday 09:00 - 18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
• Thursday 09:00 -18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
• Friday 09:00 -18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Responsibilities

• As a Qualified Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the business in providing an efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service to our customers, with specific responsibility for providing support with the dispensing and labelling of prescription items.
• Additional responsibilities will include receiving prescriptions and handing out prescription items and assisting with the ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary.
• The successful candidate must have great people skills as this is paramount to your role.
• You will be required to work as part of a well-established team and ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services is essential; skills in planning, attention to detail and working under pressure are all required.
